Was told a story tonight by a friend who said his dad used to clean his guns with mercury. He would put some mercury in the barrel and roll it back and forth by tilting the barrel. After doing this he would pour the mercury out onto a cloth diaper and then roll the mercury around on the cloth. The mercury would collect all the crap from the barrel yet it would leave the stuff on the cloth. Then the mercury would go back in it's container until the next cleaning.
