Just returned from a short trip (Lizz, Horseshoe, Henson, Winchell, Gaskin, Caribou loop). Ragged was supposed to join me, but he encountered technical difficulties in between Two Harbors and Grand Marais. Will try to post a report soon, but am now preparing for a 3 day trip with my 6th grade students to Audubon.

I'll look forward to your report, Frenchy - I'll be hitting that area next week.

Hope you had a great trip! I did that same route solo Memorial Weekend.

Welcome Back! Looking forward to reading the report...If Ragged would be wearing RED he would have NO problems.

Looking forward to the report. How far along were the fall colors?

Not very; a lot of yellow and brown, the reds have yet to appear for the most part.

Who says I wasn’t wearing red? : )

I’m thinking about doing a non-trip report, it will involve a Volkswagen, Two Harbors, a bunch of coolant and a tow truck…..

I just don’t know when I’ll have time to write it up, too busy trying to track down Fitgers for making that “Why plan a trip if you can’t go” thread, then it’s off to Find Pinetree for starting that “Scorecard –trips completed thread” in which I posted a glowing 3 for 3 this year……. damn I should have knocked on wood…..

Ragged-What a bummer!!!!! So sorry to hear that your trip did not go exactly as planned :-(

There is always that nagging feeling that something is going to happen to keep my trips from going smoothly. I never really unwind until I pull into the EP with a sigh of relief. Going to have to find some wood to knock on as I am headed north in 2 days...

By the way, thanks for getting that sheath in the mail. Got it today and it is a thing of beauty.

Lil feller has been a great car, just picked the WORST time to be turd. Has got me to work every single day for the 6 years without a single fuss, countless trips to the North Shore and the BW, not a hint of trouble, then out of nowhere, without warning, it stabs me in the back!

Too bad you aren’t able to post a "my brother is so cool that he drove up and back to lend me a vehicle so I could make my trip" thread. : )
