Widespread freezing temps in the low to mid twenties this morning. The cold spots were Embarrass and International Falls, both reporting 20. Hopefully we will actually have something resembling winter this year.

I know after last year I could really use a nice, very white, very cold, winter.

Mother nature will make up for a dry summer with plenty of snowfall, but I think we'll also have an Indian Summer.

The farmers down here, especially the old timers, say we are gonna have some real snow this year.....

you people are sick!

while I agree, a good year for snow would be welcome, I can wait until the Saturday after Thanksgiving, that would be ideal.

I want the Friday after for one more day to go for a cruise with my Vette! :)

Today's Minneapolis Star Tribue article says the National Climate Prediction Center predicts warmer autumn and warmer than normal winter and continue drought conditions through the year:

It snowed in Duluth last night! Earliest measurable snow since 1995. The 1995-96 winter was the best on record. All-time record snows and record cold occurred that year in Minnesota. Although many are predicting another mild and dry winter this year, I can dream right?

I want the type of winter we had in the 70s when I was a kid. Bone-cracking cold and a shit-load of snow.

Same here. We can't get too much snow, or get too cold for my tastes.

Just got back on Sunday from moose hunting in Alaska. we were hunting part of the time 100 or so vertical feet from the snow line. Wile glassing I could not help but think of how excited I am for winter to come. ya I know it's sounds crazy but I truly am looking forward to winter camping. So let it snow!
