So,

What to keep the kid busy? took my pots, hat, mess kit and laid them out to play Bozo buckets. Made a ball out of duck tape and it worked great!

We always pack a frisbee and a football. They get a ton of use. Probably even more by the adults. The kids bring out the kids in us adults :)

The kids (or adults) whittle simple arrows or throwing sticks. We make a hanging aluminum foil hoop, hung from a tree. They shoot or throw the arrows through it. On some adult trips we bring along a root beer or a gourmet chocolate for the winner.
