Looking for some recommendations on youth sleeping bags for my 6 & 8yr old. would like to keep them under $100 and in the 20-30° range. right now my eyes are set on the REI Kindercone (i think).

I found that my kids needed to bump "up" to 20º bags due to many of our trips being in the September and October months. We had some very unhappy campers in the mornings after they froze all night in the 30º bags.

If you are summer only campers you can probably get away with the 30º bags. I think that I have read on this board that REI ratings for their bags are reliable so they may be warmer than some others listed as 20º that did not use the EN rating system.

Those kindercones look like a nice unrestrictive shape and are certainly a great price.

Thank you for the input. Yes, good price and even better with the current sale.

North Face Tigger is a great kids bag. Canyon used his until this year when I got him an adult bag. I would recommend a 20 degree bag for the B'dub.

All my kids have 0* bags. I watched Amazon and got them for around
$50

We scored a... Mountain Hardwear Mountain Goat Kids Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Polarguard 3D Dewberry half price ($50) on Steep and Cheep. It pays to watch steep and cheep.

We just began getting geared up for taking 4 grandkids into the BWCA this summer. Amazon had these- Mountain Trails Juniper--Mummy bag
They are not 0 degrees but are really 30 degree bags. Also not kid sized but adult. We ordered 4. They are actually amazing. Great price, well made, big- but what the heck they will grow into them- and all we need for summer trips. Did I mention they are $24? Hard to argue that price in outfitting 4 kids!!
