I am planning on heading into Basswood this winter to try spearing and was wondering which my best bet is for travel: 1) Go in through Fall Lake and fish Pipestone Bay or 2) Go in through Wood and fish Hoist. Does anybody have experience going in through these ways and potentially how long in would take pulling sleds by foot..it doesn't look like there will be a lot of snow to slow us down.
