The thread of picture a day had me thinking. Has anyone ever taken the same shot throughout different seasons or multiple shots from the same season. I thought it would be neat to see. I do not have any wilderness scenes but I did take 4 seasonal shots of my parents lake home and framed them using film a few years ago. I gave it to them as a gift and they loved it. I thought it was neat but I would love to see some BWCA or other similar scenes.

That would be interesting too. One trip last year we went through the burn area. I tried to grab a few pictures of the familar areas in hopes of returning the next few years and taking the same picture. I am hoping it turns out, it will be fun watching the area regrow anyway.

I thought this was interesting...Fishguts and I posted these pictures of the Ima/Hatchet portage on the thread several years ago. The pictures were taken forty-some years apart.

That is interesting... remind me, I have only been on that route once, but is that the portage that can be hidden behind that rock wall? How many years did that wooden dock structure last? Thanks for the pictures and a little history too.

HOLY!!! Was one of those spring and the other fall? Did the water go down that much in one season? "
the photo on the right, the dried up version, is oct 2010, the left photo is early may 2011. if you zoom in on the right photo you can make out our Kevlar canoe laying on the rocks. that was the closest we could get to water we could float the canoe on. turns out it was barely enough, we couldn't line it since the lake bottom was the thick, stinky muck. it was like this almost all the way to the next surprise... no way to get to the wood horse portage without cross country boulder field. these photos are on the granite river before you take the 105rd portage to clove. we were traveling from sag to gunflint

I was going to say you could see how much the tree grew, than I saw 40 years apart.
Big difference in your gear.
