Yes, I know, it seems incongruent to solo with another soloer but that way, if the match-up does not go well (unlikely) we could split.

Anyway, I would like to go on a BWCAW or Quetico trip in late August or early September with another "mature" fellow or two. We would each, of course, be self contained but could share a Makers Mark or such! I will be 72 this summer and because of that my getup and go is not like what it use to be and I would like to limit the week's trip length to no more than 15 to 20 miles, with lay-overs paramount! I did a 35 mile trip last summer and that was tough! I do fish but that activity is not a priority for me. Contact me via email: lrheg@aol.com

It's great that you are still going to the dub at age 72! Good luck!

I know BigAl was looking for something like that. I have corresponded with him a few times, but my trip plans and his don't mesh very well. I think he is looking for the same as you. I'll send him an email to alert him in case he does not see this.

Trying to send you email.

Allen - if you place your mouse cursor on the envelope, the email address shows at the bottom left of the screen. I just write them down and then type them into the new email address.

I think you have to have Microsoft something to open the envolope... I can't open those with my laptop... Kind of why I wish we had messaging within the site like I've had on other sites.

Yeah, Outlook always comes up for me and I don't use it, so I just get the email address and then type it into hotmail.

New to this forum, not sure why I waited as I prefer the solo trips.
I am interested in a joint venture of sorts. Base camp and travel together at times, and at others move off for some exploring. I have considered a late summer/early fall trip into the Q and sharing part of it could be a great adventure. Might bring my Templeton if you do not mind.

What's a Templeton?

Yes, amber liquid of happiness and reduced pain after a long day.

OK, I couldn't figure out why you'd be bringing a mutual fund with you. I suppose the prospectus could put you to sleep though.

No, you just need to configure your computer to open whatever you want to use as a mail client. The envelope icons are using the standard mailto: URI format, described here.

Did you ever get hooked up with another mature soloist?

Tony, no, for various reasons I dropped my idea.
