Not sure if anyone has mentioned this in the past, I don't recall seeing it. Prior to my ski season being put on hold I had been skiing here - Town and Country country club in St Paul. Don't need to be a member to ski there in the winter on the golf course. Found out about it from my lady and her parents who are members there. It is a pretty decent place to ski. Has some hills...well, varied terrain and the trails are well kept. It's a nice spot to ski in the middle of the metro.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.

My other spots in the metro I like are Fort Snelling and Elm Creek.

Good to know. Does Town & Country have fees?

Since I live on the east side, my stomping grounds are Lake Elmo (fantastic trails and well groomed).

Willow River State Park, WI has 12 m of groomed classic and nordic track. Wooded views and not very busy.

Oops, my apologies. Nope, no fees.
