The thread about caves got me to thinking: this would be quite the year to seek out many of the area's "walk-in coolers."

Anybody have specific locations to share?

Not a cave, but, we did a mid May trip up to the Wine lake area a few years back. Though the snow had melted off weeks earlier, in the immediate area of Mug falls was a huge glacier.

We had brought some beer along on this trip. So it was an extra special treat to be able to enjoy an ice cold beer on a 70+ degree day on day four of a trip deep into the BWCAW.

The Alice lake ice cave has a mark on the map in the cave thread. I added a map for the beaver/Adam lake cave Also SS gave the location of the cave on Jordan (I just updated that thread)

I've been hearing rumor about the Alice lake cave for over a decade, but have never heard of anyone actually finding it.
