saw about fifty of these west of kearney, nebraska on our way home from new mexico. that's about a forth of the wild population.

my wife spotted them first, she tells me "those are strange looking cranes, they are pure white with back wing tips".

as a bird watcher this can hardly be beat.

That must have been a great sight! You are really lucky to have seen such a rare bird.
