In all of my pictures I retain the "exif" information when I save them. When the picture is open right click on it and you should get an option that says "View Exif Data". You might have to install the add-on for your browser. However not everyone saves the exif when they resize or post process but if they do everything you want to know about the picture is there.
Here is an example You can scroll down for a lot more info.

Its not only for my personal gain. I thought it would benefit our community of photographers.
I know a lot of people take pictures, but I assume some don't even shoot anything but Automatic settings.
It's important for everyone to know that 'you can also take this picture!' If you see something phenomenal from another photographer, don't think that it cannot be easily replicated. It CAN!
I myself don't have much photography experience out in the wilderness. So I enjoy seeing what others did to set up shots.
Here is a interesting website, it may be a member's (I'm not sure)

I have lots of these around my cabin, hear them all the time after dark but have only caught glimpses of them. Nice photo. If you have not sat and listened to the whip por will at dusk you are really missing out on an audio treat.

going through photos this morning and came across the top photo, wondered what the heck I was trying to photograph, so I opened it larger and realized I had it rotated. the more I looked at it the more I liked it better than the original orientation. made me think of that game: what's the first thing you see when you look at this picture...

I agree, the top photo is much more interesting.

this is a very intriguing photo!"
As we passed this dead moth up I knew I has to go around and get a photo or two. I didn't get as close as I wanted, kind of wish I went around again (a pretty good breeze) but the early morning light and nice reflections made for a cool pic. Here is from another angle.

i volunteer with the NFS in Mpls.my project is to take photos of Cold Water Spring twice a month from the same spot so they can be put together for a presentation of some sort.i started during the winter and this is the one for the last part of June.
sort of dull but they wanted a overall view and just not the spring pool.

one of the East Coast Buddys,up in the Q 2004.this was the last trip i used film.the camera was a Olympus Stylus Epic zoom 170.Kodak 200 neg if i recall.the prints look better than the down loads from a CD.note the tree branch in the foreground lite by the flash.my new digital would not do that.
on a solo trip in the same area the year before i shot Fuji color neg and what they say about the color shifts from country to country i think is true.it was more greenish and softer.
i'll run a side by side tomorrow.
thats a solar panel at the front of the yak, this fellow is a real gear head and was recharging his gizmos as we went along.

Are you serious? That's as spectacular as any vista from any mountain top in the world. WOW!

kinda funny.. looks like the evolution of watercraft. is it Lake Superior?
thanks for posting and please keep posting!

"art photo"..i take photos for all the normal reasons, good fish catch-keeper sunset-diary snaps-buddys-so on.every now and then i try for a art photo like i see at the gallery's in Duluth or Grand Marais.
they never work out so well.the detail and colors just don't have enough "punch" and are more like snap shots, which they are.
one of these days i'm going to try for a short trip, say a week, and haul all the heavy gear in.tripod--4x5 view with color slide film..the whole ball of wax and skip the fishing and pushing on every day to a new camp and just base camp in a good spot near a falls and take my time to get some decent shots.
the photo is a try at "art" but just does not quite make it.

hobbydog, didn't mean to ignore you, just got back from the BWCA. I am not sure what these flowers are called. I have done some checking and think they may be pasque flowers. They have the right number of petals, come in purple, white or blue and look similar. But I am not sure of that either. If you find out let me know. The shot was taken in Nerstrand Woods State Park in MN.

Im not sure what that is either...I do not believe it is pasque flower.
the leaves are wrong. A Pasque flower has fuzzy, narrow lobes, and the entire plant is covered in light silvery hairs...kinda like my scalp :)
