I had to go to Ames this morning to help son move out of the dorm. When we got done I stopped at Wal-Mart to get a few more things for our trip next week. I noticed something new, precooked crumbled beef. Had two different flavors. Cost was $2.74 per package so it’s not cheap by any means. Cannot tell from the picture if they were 7 or 8 oz. packages but may be another option to some. Product of Brazil.

They were by the bag tuna, spam, salmon. I was actually looking to see if they had any of the bagged chicken because they have not had any at the Wal-Mart that I go to - and no they did not.

KevinL Try HyVee for the pouch chicken, They have it in with the tuna fish. If they don't just ask them to special order it for you as I did that and now they stock it at the store close to me.

Hormel makes a similar product. You can find it by the Hormel sliced pepperoni. beef crumbles

Sorry Kevin but I will not be eating anything from Brazil anytime soon, never know what four legged thing they call beef there. I have heard that countries in South America have been caught selling horse as beef. Wilbur please don't send me to the glue factory. I will stick with good old beef from the USA that we dehydrate. The Hormel brand sounds interesting.

I will also be staying with my own dehydrated burger as well. Just putting it out there for others to see.
