I leave for my 2 week boarder solo tomorrow! Looking forward to an evening at Williams and Hall then a morning tow up to PP (not going into Q, however)for my Tuesday am departure.

Going to pick up a new paddle in a few minutes; when I get it, I will post a pic. It's a Sanbourne Minnesota, and I hope it holds up better than the two Whiskey Jacks I've had in the past couple of years. Along with the new paddle I'll be breaking in yet another solo tent; a BA Copper Spur 2. Wish me well!!

Pics of my new paddle...I picked it up at a new place in south Minneapolis called Mend Provisions. It's primarily a fly fishing store, and it just opened 3 weeks ago. I talked to the owner and told him my paddle woes in hopes that he had a 54" Minnesota for me to look at. He told me that he had one that he took home for himself and had used once on a small area lake but that he would have his girlfriend bring it to the shop so I could take a peek. I liked it and he sold it to me with a slight discount! Now I may have to take up fly fishing to help support the guy;)

Have fun be safe but if in doubt, save the paddle and sell it to me!

It looks beautiful! I'm pretty much drooling on my computer. I love good woodwork.

If you are an extrovert and crave company, keep in mind that the camp chipmunk is available for easy, uncomplicated relationships.
Have a good trip.

There were a few other Sanborn paddles at this place, and they were all stunning in terms of killer woodwork. My daughter Allie wanted one.
