I am 25 and in 3 weeks im planning a family trip with my dad as well, who is 62, up into Kawnipi through the falls chain. He has 30 or so trips to his name and somehow, like you, has never been, but its always been one of the lakes he wants to visit most. We will be entering August 3rd. Any advice for us?

B, What a great trip and a great report! I want to go to the Q someday.

My Eagle Scout is working this summer at Philmont. So no paddling with him this year. Hopefully, next year. Maybe in the Q.

Really enjoyed your report and photos...thought I was going to see my car in the Seagull Outfitters parking lot but the sign was blocking it....lol! My son(15yo) and I were on our trip to Quetico during your time frame....our 7th consecutive trip.

"Go every chance you get"...I'm always reminded of that saying I read in one of the BWJ articles. Nothing gets in the way of our annual trip to the Quetico, nothing! Not even the heart attack that I had back in Sept 2010 at 47...I'll be 50 at the end of next month. Didn't miss a beat the following June on our next trip.
