How To Zap Waypoints in a Garmin E-Trex

I think I FINALLY figured out how to configure my Garmin E-Trex. I downloaded all the campsite and portage data a few years ago to my Garmin, and easily exceeded the max of 2000. So, now that I know how to reduce the uploaded campsite/portage markers, how do I delete the whole set of campsite and portage waypoints? They are on the Garmin chip, not the SD card that I installed. The only things on the SD card are the maps. Garmin apparently stores the campsite and portage waypoints on the drive that is internal to the infernal machine. It does not appear to have any access. Thanks.

I did the same thing once.... I believe I had to open up a blank, new map in MapSource and upload it to the GPS, telling it to delete what was on the GPS during the process.
