I am planning to spend 2 weeks next September clearing portages in order to open a train access to the Chochocouane, a remote river in Quebec, Canada.
This a train in - train out trip which keeps the logistic simple. Canoe and related gear can be rented locally at low cost. This is not a guided trip but a common adventure at shared cost.
No white water skills required. Only a deep desire to live in the woods for a couple weeks.
