a real one and not one of those table top models. Agfa and well made with 42 inch legs,10 inches collapsed.good ball head with all the adjustments.the legs are round and lock but are very tight to begin with and metal.no inner brace between the legs but i'll be using this with a light weight digital camera,Panasonic LX7. i have pods for my 4x5 but way to heavy for long canoe trips. i got this because on the last trip i was trying to shoot sunsets and clouds with the fast motion video and had to depend on just the right rock for the set up,same with the slow mo at rapids.also i think i can get much better detail on the pod with a timer shot rather than hand held.i also wanted some Youtube videos where i'm talking about gear and such and again thats hard to do with a table top pod. i forgot the weight but its not flimsy and has a bit of a heft. i'll be posting photos of the next trip that i'm off on next week and give a gear report along with the shots.
no report or photos yet but i don't think i used the tripod five times in two weeks.solo i seem to have plenty of time for photos but on this buddy trip it was just snapshots. Snapshot #214
problem..it's just about 42 inches high.. good for doing landscape or folded down for forest floor shots but using it for people you get a kids view of things.i found that out when i set it up to make a Youtube of this years wine press.looking at the finished work it was like i said,me talking to a kid about wine making. i got out the big pod i use for my 4x5 and put the tiny digital camera on that and re-shot the whole thing.
