I have a very basic GPS. I downloaded the MN topo and use it in sections so I do not use up all my memory. I tried loading the campsite and portage information for the BWCA,but i cannot see them together. I end up manually loading them each time I take a trip. Any ideas on how I can see them together?
I use Mapsource and have MNTOPO, BWCA CAMPS & Portages for software and downloads

I ended up combining the two maps onto one. You end up with about a bajillion waypoints and other things that need to be edited out. In the end though, I've had good results with this.

Its on my external drive at the office, and I won't have access to it until Tuesday. Send me an email and I'll send you the combined MapSource file.

I keep it as my 'golden master' that I then save a copy of to use for future trip planning.

Mirth,

Can you load this on to a Micro SD and simply put it in and get all the data?

Probably, I don't know. I have an HCx w/an SD card but always use MapSource to manage stuff. I suppose its writing to the GPSr's internal memory now, isn't it?

Send me an email too, if you want it, and if you can figure it out please share. You'd probably be saving everybody hours of data massaging work.

Thanks Mirth! Very excited to try this out this week. I will let you know how it goes.
Update: Works like a charm! Thanks again
