Finally it looks like I'll get away for a solo trip. Been trying to find the time since August, but can never totally clear my calendar. But, after my Board meeting tomorrow afternoon, I'm off to the Caribou.

Looks like a 5 day trip, not going to do a lot of traveling, many of the lakes I always paddle thru, I've wondered how the fishing was and what some of the campsite may look like. So, I'm going in at Leano, and going to spend a little time on Bunny, fishing for Lake Trout. After, I believe, I'll head back and go to Kilburn for some fall walleyes, and some exploring.

Traveling light, and weather forecast is suppose to cooperate. Nothing like going to the Caribou.

I was going to offer you my GPS, but I'm in Washington right now. Good for you for taking the opportunity. After I get my lower unit operating well again I'm going to be going solo again. Although if you ever get the chance to go with Sunny or Boppa I think you'd like that. :) Your right, there's nothing like the WCPP. Bring your long johns. :)

Got the long johns, and everything. When you get back to MN give me a call, maybe we can still paddle this fall. Weather is suppose to be great, so everything is a go.

No more paddling for me this year. I'm going under the knife and hoping to be ready to go for next year. This last trip hauling canoes was tough... I wasn't feeling well most of it. Picture me sitting in a stall in a rest area with Bernice's food dish for a puck bucket. I'm hoping to be feeling better soon. :) I guess I'm down for over a month now... Well after the eighth.

Hoe your having... or had fun!

Ben -

Good luck with the surgery. Here's hoping for a full and speedy recovery.
