We touched on this resource in the Hennepin Canal thread. I think this deserves its own thread as a unique canoeing location.

One more thing...during the warmer months, I believe that water is available for campers at this site by walking 5 minutes to the McKinley Woods Forest Preserve campgrounds. Potable water sources further west on the trail can be noted by those of you who have camped at those spots. Please let us know.
