finally i have a real dog, big and strong and he loves to pull. we've been bikejoring on mountain bike trails along the minnesota river. he can pull me full speed for five miles before i stop him so he doesn't hurt himself. last winter he was still a puppy but he figured out skiing right away (after some tangles). this is a riot and i encourage anyone with a dog and a pair of skis to give it a try.

Where do you get harnesses and the supplies for skijoring? Looks like it would be a blast!!

rei has lot og gear on sale, skijornow is a local business, personally i prefer to spend a bit more with a local than give REI any of my business.

Pretty cool. Nice video. So a lab is enough dog for this eh? Do you think a Golden Retriever could do it?

the lab is way more than enough. i would assume that a retriever is also very capable. some dogs are reluctant to pull a skier, it depends on the dog. i don't think milo is very bright but he is very focused.
