There is a beauty of line and form when I see a canoe that I just want to see more of them. Anyone willing to share a favorite pic of their canoe or ANY canoe pic they have?? Out of many hundreds in my files I'll start with these:
My Sawyer on a sandbar just above Spring Green on the WI River this spring.
Second day out from Baker Lake entry point.
Sawbill lake. One last paddle before bed.

WCD I love the look of your loaded canoe with the Duluth Pack and fishing pole rigged and ready to go. Beautiful canoe.
MP is it the angle of that shot or is your canoe definitely narrower than most or is it the tumblehome? Either way it is a sleek looking craft!
Love the shots folks are sharing. The calendar still has December on it but I'm feeling like February already. Going to be a very long winter and these are helping.

I am really enjoying this thread. Thanks to all that have contributed and I hope will continue to do so.
A few summers ago my canoe partner, who does not fish, let us use his WeNoNah Champlain to fish one afternoon. Apparently he got bored around camp so he took another canoe out to paddle around solo. I'm still not sure what he was trying to do but he came over by us and then took off like he was doing a canoe race vs imaginary canoes or something and I got this shot.

Awesome to see so many great canoe pics here, especially with all the snow on the ground! Can't wait for ice-out and paddle season to arrive! Here's one of my canoe pics from our Fall 2013 BWCA trip.

beautiful photo! welcome to this fun forum..."
Thanks, Mocha! I really like your pic of the Souris River warehouse. When we bought our canoes, we went there to pick them up and took a tour. It was better than being in a candy store, surrounded by all those canoes!

Nice lush green! Are you willing to share the location? I enjoy the narrow waterways, wondering what's around the next bend...

this is the kinnikinnick river downstream from river falls, wisconsin. as sweet of a river as you could ever hope to find. it's a forty minute drive from the cities yet sees light use from canoeists. lots of trout fisherman though.

Thanks, jwartman59. Looks like an interesting place. Is it typically as shallow as it appears in some pics? We canoed down a section of the Kickapoo River and Wisconsin Rivers two summers ago -- what a different experience than BWCA canoeing, with the shifting sandbars. Pretty though.

quote jwartman59: "oh yeah, there are many rocks. for each that you miss there are another two that you will hit. i always forget that part. this is not a good place for a pointy nosed kevlar canoe."
lol. Sounds like a job for the aluminum canoe. Pretty area though.
