I am looking for BWCA/canoeing/outdoor adventure book suggestions.

I have read "Canoeing with the Cree", and "Reflections from the North Country". Both are great books, but I liked "Canoeing with the Cree" better because it was more about the adventure itself rather than philosophy.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

"River Horse" and "Down the Wild River North". Both excellent adventures, though River Horse is less of a wilderness book. Also "Maiden Voyage", by a girl who attempted to break the women's solo round the world sailing record.

just finished Quiet Magic by Sam Cook. It is collection of short essay about outdoors and few are about boundary waters trips. I enjoyed it.

Several books for you to consider:
"A Season for Wilderness" by Michael Furtman
"Up North" by Sam Cook
"Portage into the Past" by J. Arnold Bolz
You will enjoy any or all of these.

One I enjoyed is "Freshwater Saga: memoirs of a lifetime of wilderness canoeing in Canada." -- Eric Morse

I am willing to send it out and then have the reader send it to the next person to read, and so on. I forget what this is called.

I would like to be part of that, tom. Email me and I'll send you my address. We did this with "Lost in the Wild" and it worked well.
