Came across this brand while lurking here. Price seems right. Looking at the A-frame 9x9. I like the simplicity and lack of lines needed for a wall tent.
Max of 2 people and maybe a couple of dogs. I would like a stove jack. Should be under $350.
Any thoughts? Pics? Where to place the stove jack?
The price looks great. You will need to come up with a pole system. And you may want to sew in some guy out points to stabilize the structure but you would end up with a wedge comparable to the snowtrekker exp crew. you may be able to sleep 2 and a couple dogs in a 9x9 but it will be snug! the most efficient place to put a stove is smack dab in the center of the tent but its not a very functional layout. keep in mind you want your stove to be at least 18" (if not 24") from any tent fabric. snowtrekkers have a pretty functional layout with the stove and stove jack placement just inside the door-on the left (but the right could work just as well). it works well because you are not walking or dragging wood through the sleeping area of the tent which winds up being in the back. another functional layout would be to place the stovejack high on the back wall and center the stove along the back wall. in this layout you would probably sleep 2 lengthwise on opposite sides of the tent. but the actual footprint could be a little tight for this (would recommend keeping your sleeping bags a safe distance from the stove). you can buy stovejacks from snowtrekker and sew them in yourself.

I've seen these listed before. I don't see an option for a stove port so that would be another thing to add. Most put the port along the wall in a corner by the door.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I actually like the Beckel tents more. The small one looks to be what I am looking for. I can see how the guy lines would be nice for a bit of extra room. I also like the zipper.
I'm going to give them a call for more info.

PS-I really like the Snowtrekker, just cannot justify the cost. I probably won't use it that much.
