Today I had to hang up our toboggans for the season, and store away all the winter gear until next winter. What a glorious time was had in the BWCA this winter the snow was deep and plentiful and the slush was very manageable. Took four weeklong trips and the weather was always great. Time to rest I suppose until the spring thaw and dust off the canoe gear and prep for ice out and a canoe trip.

I love winter camping, but I'm ready for the change of seasons, cause I love spring camping, too. Then there's summer camping, followed by fall camping.
I set a goal of losing 10 lbs. this year. I only have 15 left to lose.

Going up this weekend! But I'm afraid this will be my one and only real winter camping trip of the year:( Got a couple rookies coming with me so it should be interesting at least!

tg...check out the campsite directly across the lake from the Border Route Trail access. We were there 7-10 Mar. Cleared a spot and even left you some wood!

Well-we really enjoyed the campsite motdur! I can't imagine how many hours you spent shoveling unless some of it was already done. There were a couple small dugout areas at the bases of the snowbanks-too small for a human-did you guys have a dog or two along on your trip?
cheers-

Hey tg
Glad it worked out for you. With 3 guys, large scoop shovels...it really didn't take that long. And no...it was completely buried! The snow was very light and dry. As for the little cubbies...one was for our food container and the other was for our beverages at night.
