Mountain lake overlook

LOCATION: Halfway up the Clearwater ~ Mountain lake portage, take the eastern B-R-T fork about a quarter of mile up to the overlook. NOTE: There is also a nice overlook if you take the western B-R-T fork, but, it is a longer hike.

Breathtaking! And the thought of lugging a canoe over a portage like that is also..breathtaking! :)

fortunately it is the border route trail, though there is nothing stopping you from carrying a canoe on it.
