Hi all! I am trying to plan a winter camping trip, with started training in the summer, and am having difficulty finding people who share the same passion for exploring the great wild North especially younger people. I figured this would be a good place to ask, what's a good way to gather together some people?

It is indeed difficult to find winter camping compatriots. Many folks just look at you like you're crazy. However, there are a surprising number of us nuts out there. I see you're from Wisconsin. Check out the Winter Camping Symposium held every October. You'll find other potential winter camping buddies there.
I set a goal of losing 10 lbs. this year. I only have 15 left to lose.

Here is a link to the Winter Camping Symposium. No updates yet for next year but check back later in the summer.

I've attending the Winter Camping Symposium the last two years and truly enjoyed the experience. You meet a lot of very friendly, interesting people and have the opportunity to mingle and get to know folks.
Most participants are camping in tents and there are a great number of interesting seminars and workshops. There's hot tenters, cold tenters, dog mushers, hunters, you name it.
You can buy your meals, which I recommend and that's a great time to meet and get to know people. I'm sure you would meet up with others who would have similar interests to yours.

I have a 4-season tent that I just bought this past winter. I just have a very basic pocket rocket stove. I have all the proper gear, including Wintergreen clothing. I would really like to get to know some mushers, that will be a near-future goal to obtain some sled doggies, that will be so exciting!

Another opportunity for you to consider is volunteering to help out at the Beargrease sled dog race in January. Or just camp out and watch. Sawbill checkpoint always has some people camping out and watching or helping with the race. It can be a pretty social event.
