OK so I know this is an age old question but to put it into perspective, I'm asking about the size of PAN for my reflector oven. When I go with a group I use a pizza pan [which to date my wife hasn't from missed from home] but planning a solo trip and was wondering about using a 9X9 inch cake pan with 2 inch sides. Baking biscuits and possibly an apple crisp, will this pan work ok or should I look for something about this size but with shorter sides?

Thanks for any and all advice. FRED

It will work fine. Just make sure your fire is as tall as or taller than your reflector oven. Also make sure that you have some fire down low too. Otherwise if you don't have a good fire down low items tend to come out browned and done on top but not on the bottom or inside.

You could also just use some Aluminum foil as long as you had something to slide the pizza off the oven and over on to with the foil. Somthing almost like a paddle. Wait a sec you could use your paddle.

We have used a 9x9 pan for years. I like to make a thick crust in this size pan.

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll try the foil suggestion also, so if anyone is paddling around the Ensign lake area in about 2 weeks and you paddle by a campsite about suppertime and see an older gent with a grizzled grey beard licking off his paddle don't question just stop and chat. FRED

Let us know how you did it and how it turned out.
