Any reason why cherry pie filling wouldn't dehydrate right for pie's in the pie iron? Or any pie filling for that matter.

I was thinking the same thing. Think I'll throw a can in the dehydrator tomorrow and see.

You will need to put some holes in the cherries to get them to dehydrate. I would even maybe suggest you cut them up some. It should dry into a fruit leather type material.

I've tried this. Dried to a nice leather, but difficult to rehydrate without chewy spots. Cutting up the cherries as suggested might help.
