Just curious about fishing Anchor Lake? Any good info would be appreciated and also how is the portage from Sunday Lake into Anchor?

Portage is fairly long and flat and fairly easy and much of it is along a meadow which was dry when I did it years ago. I could see it being a muddy portage in high water and you could get a good workout? Remember one nice looking campsite observing it from the water.
Not a go to person when asking about fish,usually leave it up to the explorer. Just know there is northern pike in there and rumors of lake trout which I know nobody that I know caught any.

Could be a buggy route some years,we had none in the spring.

Ditto on the portage and the one really good campsite. However, I can tell you that Lakers are in there. Come in from Poacher and get better Laker fishing.

Also, I am convinced that Burke is a dandy 4 species lake. We did real well there in one short afternoon.

Any recent fishing reports from Anchor Lake?
