Greetings!
I see this board doesn't get used very often but thought I would throw this out there anyway. . .
My husband and I ride single track mountain bike trails several times a week. We are fortunate enough to live in an area where this hobby/sport is growing thanks to the efforts of NIMBA . We have about 6 different places with trails all within a 45 minute drive of us.
We are headed up to the Ely area and thought about bringing the bikes for some after trip adventures and are just wondering if any one knows of trails between Ely and Chicago mainly following I-94 / I-35 or though the UP and down through central Michigan.
Thank you for any help you may offer! We leave for the B Dub on June 30th.

Off of HWY 51 in Minocqua, the Raven Trails. I have been riding these for over 20 years, and had taken a hiatus for the last few, only to return and discover that the mountain bike club in that community has added/constructed some very nice new singletrack trails. Very fun, and nice system. Any shop in Minocqua can point you there. There are a few other in Eagle River area, but not as well known, although there is one that in my opinion rivals anything in the northern half of the state. Text me at 715-617-0654, explain who you are :-), and if I am able, my 17 yoa son and I would love to show you that one.
Warrior mind, Warrior heart.

If your travels bring you through the Twin Cities (I-94 corridor) I can suggest some great single track rides. Here is a site that I frequent for local trail conditions. I have not ridden all of the metro trails but am very familiar with several
