A friend and I are taking a trip September 3-11. The route is not set in stone yet, but will likely involve camping on Sineeg lake in the Sundial PMA. We will be taking a MN3 and single portaging with a light load. The third guy we had just bailed out, so we are looking for someone to fill that spot as long as it seems like a good fit.
Preferably, but not necessarily, someone from the Chicago area so we can split travel expenses and meet prior to leaving. Please let me know if you are seriously interested.
Who I am precedes what I do, not the other way around.
Looks interesting! I'm in the same boat as McSweem... work prevents me access to the shoulder seasons, just now. Should be a memorable trip, though: I haven't even seen old portage info of any sort for that lake. Are you planning to use Sinneeg Creek both directions, or a brushcrash from Wagosh or Thunder, in part? We (two people) went Beartrap Lake to Sunday, Sterling, Bibon, Nibon, on to Stuart Lake, in July, and were able to find most all the old portages. Sineeg doesn't look super deep, but the land contours around it suggest it may be a pretty one...
