Jay Cooke State Park just south of Duluth. It the St Louis River. I have drove by this 100 times and never stopped. Was in Duluth last weekend for a quick getaway and we decided to check it out. There is the area by the bridge but if you go past that to the next area with a picnic shelter there is a very nice overlook. See the link below.

this wear pattern at Split Rock Falls up in the Q caught my eye.with the water low you could see the wear on the rock when the falls ran much higher.

from the looks of the land around the falls i assume this wear is very,very old.

it's just a level trail thru the woods.

I did it in Fusion F.1. It's a free HDR program that you can use single images on instead of having to bracket multiple images. It's not as good as Photomatix and has it's limitations but for certain shots it does an amazing job if you ask me.
