I spent a summer building a log cabin on trout run when I was in high school. The crew included my dad, uncle (now deceased), and older brother. My brother and I would sleep in the foundation, and later building, so that we could fish before and after work.

30 years later, my in-laws moved from Arkansas to within a good stone's throw from the trout run.

It will always be special to me.

bapa, I was standing at the base of a knob covered in wildflowers trying to get a good shot of one of the butterflies when one landed right by the other. Took several shots and I think this was the best. Shooting uphill with a whitish/grey sky as the background. With a shallow depth of field behind it the detail in the sky washed out - seemed to work okay.

The first one is a small lake along the Clearwater Lake road...right across the road from the Honeymoon Bluff trailhead.
