Just thought I would show off the removable yoke I made for my stripper. Since I put fairly small spruce gunwales on the thing I couldn't come up with one that clamped directly on that I felt secure with. So, I added some small cherry yoke mounts to the underside of the gunwales with epoxy and a hidden screw from underneath.
The yoke then clamps to this and I can torque as much as needed without fear of delaminating the gunwale from the hull. As it turns out, with the rubber pads and good fit, little torque is needed to hold them in place.
To stow it, I designed the clamping plates bolt to be offset to one end a little and I just spin it around to fit directly under the gunwale and hold it in place with just a little force. I never have wood on wood contact, nothing gets scratched and it is super secure. I didn't like any of the plastic knobs I could find to purchase so I made some out of walnut with SST nuts epoxied inside.
Install and stowing at portages took 15-30 seconds.

Thanks, actually it is pretty dirty in the photos, haven't cleaned it after returning from a trip a couple days ago. Just wanted to show my yoke solution as I couldn't find much detail from others did when I researched it.
