LOL you aren't kidding there! We got a break in the weather and I finally got a chance to visit him so of course the camera had to go with me. I know it's not beautiful scenery but at least I got to shoot something.

It was taken near Tofte a couple years ago. Ice storms are pretty hard birch.

wolves on the lake yesterday. they came from canada (left of this photo) and made a bee-line for this point known to be a deer haven. you'd think the deer would learn!!
it was snowing pretty good and that point is maybe just less than 1/4 mile away. no tripod either!

It is on the island between North and South Fowl Lake. Not much left of it anymore. There are several of this same vintage in the area. One back off the portage from John to Royal River on the RR side. You have to walk back a ways to find it. There is another on one of the points as you come into North Fowl. I assume the resort that used to be on Macfarland back in the day had these boats in there.

I like finding retired boats from days gone by in wild places. Just think of the stories they could tell. This one was on Echo Lake in Whiteshell PP MB.
