We all have to believe in something. I believe I'll go paddle.

Thank you!"
Get used to it. It only gets better. At some points I had to pinch myself and say "is this dude for real?"
The two loudest sounds known to man: a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

Chomping at the bit for the next one! I've got my canoe loaded on the truck for a day trip and was thinking about "Wimping" out since the sun looks like it's going to stay hidden and it's probably not getting out of the 30's today? Betcha BeaV wouldn't give today's weather a second thought?

These are great videos. I really enjoy the crisp, direct style of reporting by BeaV. In fact, I can easily see a book coming from this expedition. There is so much he could further describe and develop in a wilderness expedition book based on this experience. Food for thought.

I am thoroughly enjoying this and I have a ton of admiration for you...but, the "come along" song was cool the first time, still kind of cool the second time, now it's starting to get in the way of my enjoyment...lol. Will the song be playing through all 14 segments?

+1
BeaV,
Curious to know what you had on/in your PFD. I notice items in both the front and back.
Fate whispers to the warrior "You cannot withstand the storm" and the warrior whispers back "I am the storm". Unknown.

Back- strobe light for nighttime rescue
Front- PLB, compass, knife, fire starting kit, and whistle
Later on when I got into more remote areas I ditched the strobe light and whistle (you've probably heard the one "if a tree falls in the forest and there's no one nearby, does it make a sound?" or similarly "if a BeaV falls into the ocean who will hear or see it?")
As long as I can make fire, I'm good. Knowing which way to walk or swim is good too.

Ya, that second boat had engine problems, so they threw me a rope and I pulled them into port. :)"
LOL... Awesome! :)

Each segment of your story gives me opportunity to pause and reflect upon some of the challenges you faced and decisions made. Love the humor, perseverance and faith. Had to you tube Vicci too. Great music for the adventure, I think I know what will be in my head next summer in the BWCA.. Kudos to all who made this possible.
Never better, attitude is a choice.
