ok.... this camp will remained un-named. although I know EXACTLY where it is. and if you'all know the site, some times its good to keep a secret.
our "original" crew spent 2 days here. the stone work was done all on day one. I will never forget Mr. Dave Harrison (now in heaven) jumping up and down on the landing (in the falling snow) shouting we are going the wrong &%%@%^&* way. (not out, but farther in). when "drifter" and I revisited this country years later, I did not want to camp here... why, you may ask??? because if this work was demolished by some one wanting to shove in a poorly hewn birch log the size of a mans thigh I would have cried. sooooo instead we stopped by for a break on the way off the lake. and we found much to both of our pleasure that inspite of mother nature EVERY rock was were I left it 4 years earlier. now keep in mind that all this is built on a chunk of bed-rock and the pine needles are just setting there. no dirt to help keep foundation from shifting.
