Of Woodsmoke and Quiet Places

Got this for my birthday back in 2000. A 'devotional' of sorts with a short story for every day of the year. Funny stuff, reflective stuff, fishing, canoeing, camping, neat people he met.

Wish he had a follow up to this book.

To be honest, a lot of the books you guys have mentioned lately are ones I've never heard of. But this one definitely rang a bell, and certainly seems worth a read (not that the others aren't, of course). I love that title. It really grabs a guy.

Apparently Jerry has an earlier book titled Wit & Wisdom of the Great Outdoors. That one I'm sure I haven't read, but it looks similarly interesting.
