LOCATION: NE exit of Friday Bay on Crooked Lake in narrows as paddling east. On Canadian shore in near a Quetico capsite.

On Canadian property. Might just need Canadian permit to be legal to see this one..

You are correct.

While it doesn't compare to viewing it up close, the wreckage is right on the shoreline. So, if you know what you're looking for, you can still see it without having to get out of your canoe.

Look for the island that looks like a Capital "L" laying on its side at the top of Friday Bay and paddle the narrows between the island and the Canadian shoreline.

It is easily seen from the canoe on the water if you don't have the proper paperwork.
