I am back in school and need to do a rather lengthy thesis/research paper. I would like to do it on contrasting WCPP to the BWCA. Many possible avenues like historical logging impact on forest fires, or park management/conservation, human impact... lots of possibilities.

Here's the problem. I can't seem to find ANY "academically credible" information on WCPP. perhaps I do not know the right things to search. Perhaps some of you smarter type people might have some sources or ideas I could explore.

More general sources are welcome as well.

(Just a side note, school is MUCH easier in the computer age! I would still be typing and retyping, and retyping my first paper. So painful when you mess up a footnote on a long typewritten page and have to start over. I used to do that several times on the same page. grr)

You could start here. Lots of good info on background, management plan, etc. All academically credible stuff.

Sounds like footnoting/endnoting you are required to use is as antiquated as a (manual) typewriter. Why anyone uses anything other than MLA parenthetical format is beyond me.

As for material, you have a good start with the reference above (although I'm thinking there is management plan more recent that 2007). If there are other elements you seem to be missing, I'd give the WCPP park superintendent a ring (or e-mail). I think I still have his card if you needed contact info.
