Anyone interested in a trip to the Sutton River in late August? This would be a great year to do it- with the US dollar so strong, the cost is about $500 cheaper for us Yanks than in past years. Unfortunately, late August is the only time I can get away. But if anyone is interested send me a message or reply to this post.

Thanks!

Handycamp,

I'm not sure I'll have an August open at this point but if you have a link to an outfitter or info, I'll do some research on my own as I've been thinking about something like this. Just thought I'd put it out there. You can either post it here or send an email. Either way is fine. Looks like fun!

The outfitter is Hearst Air in Hearst, Ontario. Website is hearstair.com, I think. At this point it looks like August of 2016
is more likely, but if you're interested, let me know.

Looks like fun! Fly-in to Hawley and paddle out to Hudson for fly-back. If you are thinking next year, that might work out. Do costs drop per person if the group gets larger? Just curious. I'll look for your posts as this season progresses. Feel free to drop an email too.

HighnDry,

It's a flat per person rate regardless of group size. An outfitter in Pickle Lake, Ontario used to base his prices on the capacity of his plane, but he no longer offers these trips.
I also posted this in the general discussion forum and got quite a conversation going, you might want to check it out. Let me know if you have any questions that aren't already answered in the thread.
