Our other golden, Willow (almost 7 yrs old), is not impressed in the least. She scurries away from him and sometimes shows teeth. This is to be expected, I guess. He needs to know his place and I need to let her tell him. But I worry about it anyway. I sure hope she comes around soon. She seems very sad and put out over the whole thing, spending most of her time in the back bedroom.

She is getting tons of extra attention. Lots of ball playing today and a nice long walk. I think she will come around. I just hope it doesn't take too long and I hope they end up being the best of friends.

He's fabulous! Congratulations, and hope (and expect) Willow comes around soon. I've been thinking of adding dog-2 to my pack and have been wondering how dog-1 would respond. Post more pics, and the final call name when determined.

Sounds like you are taking all the right steps, puppies (when they aren't pestering lol) eventually win everyone over with cuteness.
Cool name, the possibilities and combos from the diminutives will be fun. GrizzBee? Be sure to share more puppy pics, he is a real looker!
Stop destroying our planet. It's where I keep all my stuff.

Wow, what a handsome little fella, congrats! As others have said, Willow will come around. I went through the same thing with the last 2 pups introduced to our pack, the older dogs were not happy at first, but ended up being best buds. Good luck!

She's very slowly coming around. She plays a little with him, but only on our walks in the park. She play attacks him, which is what she used to do to our old dog, Badger. I think it's also partly a dominance thing. She started trying to hang out with us again in the living room, but it usually doesn't last long. She isn't showing her teeth at him quite as much anymore.
