The Wabakimi Project (non-profit; this is not a commercial posting) has open spaces for some of its August trips. Trips are a mix of exploring and trailwork combined with photography, fishing, etc.
It is a great way for folks new to this area to get some experience while project leaders provide almost all the gear, food, and logistics. I have participated for several years and will be going up again; have met great people on these trips, too! If you are at Midwest Mtneering Expo, stop in at the display and check it out.

I am also going to midwest mt. expo in April. As I am going for the first time to Wabakimi this June. Looking forward to meet Uncle Phil.
