I am wondering in your opinion, what is the best canoe to fish out of?? I currently have a wenonah 17 kevlar UL, I'm not impressed with the stability or the amount of leg room for the front paddler. I am leaning towards a wenonah boundary waters kevlar ultra light model. I'd appreciate any feedback thanks.

I like my Quetico 17. It is stable and has ample room up front.

I think that a lot of us agree. If fishing is the main concern, this model is near or at the top of the list.

The best by far is the 14 ft wide transom Sportspals canoe made in North Bay, ON.
The best

I picked up a Wenonah BW this spring and it is very stable and roomy in the bow. I owned a Souris River Q17 previously and they are pretty similar but I think the BW is a little wider and a little more stable if that's what you are looking for.
