Hello all, going into Argo in May on a day pass from Crooked. Does anyone know of a map with depth contours for Argo. I'm familiar with laker fishing, just wanted to have an idea of where to start.

Thanks!

Kt

No maps. It's all deep.

Yep, the Canadians haven't graced us with contour maps and as old_salt say, it's all deep. We even registered 211 feet at one point if my memory serves me. We found Lakers passing through the strait between the northern peninsula and the small island to the west of Birch Island. Caught them on #9 and #11 Rapala Deep Tail Dancers .
Argo is a truly beautiful lake. Enjoy!

If you are at all interested in smallies, check out the small bay in the northwest corner of the lake (actually connected by a small river segment). If they are on the beds there, you will have a blast. Guides call it the "maternity ward".
