Good stuff man. I used to have distant relatives living in Milaca and probably still do. Maybe one of them hit you.

I think you mean Culvers in Two Harbors.

Great trip report. We had thought about going into ram around the same time frame.

adludwig, got a question for you, wife and I are planing on renting a kevlar canoe soon to use in the B-dub, and we have the same GCI chairs in your picture, so the question is, does your canoe have room for the chair on the rear seat as the canoe starts to narrow down to the back?

Also what type canoe is your Kevlar?

Great report, sometimes when you have to work a little harder for the fish, you enjoy them more.

The GCI chair is a little too wide for the back seat. After my first outing before the trip I noticed a little wear to the fabric where it was rubbing on the canoe. I engineered it with a little duck tape before the trip, but after 4 days, that was wearing through too. I think I am going to put a few pieces of pipe insulator to help from rubbing too bad. My canoe is a Wenonah Champlain.

Thanks for the reply, wife an I did a trip 2 years ago and after fishing from the canoe all day knew we needed some back support, they work good in my aluminum but when we rented before I thought the rear seat seamed narrower. The plastic pipe protector sounds like the ticket, going to give it a try.

This site is the best,
