Bags are mostly packed. Head north in the morning. Lay over at the cabin, Lac du Bonnet on Sunday and fly out first thing Monday to Artery Lake. I will be dropping down through the middle of WCPP and out the south end. I should make it to Bird Lake by July 1. If anyone sees a solo red canoe wave a paddle.

If I remember correctly, the Drifters Inn (north of Lac du Bonnet on Highway 11--beyond the Highway 317 intersection) was a pretty good place to grab a bite to eat. Not a gourmet meal, but hot and plentiful. If they are still operating the same way, they were among the places serving the earliest breakfast in town. The place has a small motel connected to a restaurant and service station (Shell Gas, I think).

Enjoy your trip. Amazing picto's on Artery!

Have a great trip! It was your trip report that sent me to WCPP last year.

Bills done the enchanted portage and shot down through Royd, Gammon and Roustol. He's making good time.

He's making good time again and on Talon Lake. He had stayed at the lower campsite on Aegean. Wonder if he went and seen the cave.

Just made it back to my cabin. What a trip. No bugs, good weather(except today) good fishing (when I fished), lots of moose, no canoe sittings in 13 days and saw some incredible places. I will give a much better up date when I get home in a few days. Going to spend a couple days at the cabin to re-enter slowly. And yes Ben, not only saw the caves but caught but caught a nice laker just a few minutes later. South Aegean is a beautiful lake but the no name lake between there and Talon is a gem too. I wonder why so many worthy lakes go without a name. And Ugly Lake gets one.

Welcome home... Well, sort of. My turn is coming up... Long awaited! We'll have to catch up sometime.
