Nice.........your pics didn't load for me however.
solos not so bad right? Nobody to make happy but yourself. The key is to make an ambitious plan and stay busy. Before you know it 2 weeks have flown by and your stuck thinking "I was just getting into the swing of things and now I gotta go back, rats!"

I updated with the report with the pics actually in it. Some of them aren't coming up and are just shown as little green boxes; click on them to see the pic!

Sounds like an Excellent trip Bryce. You had some tough conditions but made the best of it. The bear sighting is very cool. Enjoy the single portaging while you're young my friend. I'm envious. Looking forward to meeting up at Copia next March.

Very cool and unique trip. I like the combo solo w/ getting to spend some time w/ your parents. Thanks for sharing! It was pretty crummy weather when you were there. My wife and I were at a cabin at the Trail Center from Sunday the 23rd to TH the 27th. Monday (when you tackled Pine) we hiked the Centenial Trail instead of doing a canoe daytrip because of the crummy weather. On Tuesday we did a daytrip from Poplar to the southern end of Horseshoe and back and it wasn't fun paddling tandem in that wind on small lakes. I can't imagine solo on Pine the day before when it was even windier??????????????? Your last day (Wed) was a beautiful day and we hiked the Caribou Rock trail all the way to Rose Lake and back. I wish we would have hiked Tue. and paddled Wed. :)
